This summer I am going to be teaching two graduate-level research methods courses (EBC7101 and EBC7102) for Master’s and Doctoral students in the E-Business Technologies programs at the University of Ottawa.
This is the fourth offering of these courses, and I have particularly enjoyed teaching these courses. Not only do I get to draw upon my formal research training as a methodologist, but I also learn a lot from my students who are pursuing their research projects and theses in areas that are outside my own regular areas of expertise.

EBC7101 (Research Workshop in E-Business Technologies):
This is a 3-week intensive workshop to introduce graduate students to the practice of academic research, and to guide them in the process of conceptualizing, planning, designing, executing, and evaluating scientific research projects for their research.

EBC7102 (Interdisciplinary Research Methods in E-Business):
This is a 3-week intensive course that aims to introduce students to research philosophies such as positivist and interpretive approaches, behavioral science and design science research paradigms, and qualitative and quantitative research methods.
